Oh baby...(New Kids!!!)
So my financial woes have been taken to the next step...since I've been sued and garnished by Chase for the full entire balance plus interest, fees, totaling $17k.
The only thing left to do, is file....bankruptcy. Yes, bankruptcy. Its being filed either today or tomorrow. I found a great attorney, they helped with all my questions, and are doing all they can to get it filed immediately because I've been summoned for court on Friday. The only way to halt my garnishment is to file.
They are trying to get me in on a Chapter 7, but since I make a bit much ($52k) I may have to do the Ch 13, which is a repayment.

I too finally called an attorney and filed for BK after I got hit with a judgement and court summons. It was very "educational" to do the whole process. More education than I thought I would ever need or want.
